General Meeting – Annual Bingo for Orchids & Ice Cream Social
Join us Tuesday, July 12th, for a lively evening of Ice Cream with all the trimmings & Bingo for Orchids! This annual event is a chance to socialize with your fellow orchid enthusiasts, indulge in some luscious ice cream and play bingo with a great selection of orchids as prizes. Family and friends are all invited to join in on the fun. The more the merrier!

- Bring your favorite topping to share
- If you bring a NAMED BLOOMING Orchid ( Or Non-Orchid) as a Bingo Prize, you get 2 Bingo Tickets
- If you bring a NAMED NON-BLOOMING Orchid, you get 1 Bingo Ticket
- If you DON’T BRING a plant, Bingo Cards are $5.00 each and you are welcome to purchase as many as you would like.

Our speaker for June is Jeff Tyler who will be presenting information about Bulbophyllum Orchids
General Meeting – Orchid Mounting
HANG WITH US AND HANG IT UP!
A fun night of mounting orchids. The Society is purchasing special plants from Exotic Orchids of Maui for you to mount.
For $5, you get to select a plant to mount and a cork mount. The Society will supply the wire for the hanger, the sphagnum moss, fishing line and label. There will be some instruction on how to mount.
This will follow our regular business meeting and Show-And-Tell Table.

Our Vice President, Angelique, has a very special program for our January meeting. Many of you have not been able to attend Speaker’s Day, held every August and sponsored by the Sacramento Orchid Society. At that event, American Orchid Society judges judge member plants and discuss with the audience their reasons for awarding or not awarding a plant an AOS award. A very interesting and educational event.
Our January meeting will host a panel of American Orchid Society judges from the California Sierra-Nevada Judging Center which will judge SCOS member plants. Bring a plant for judging!
